Time critical operations clerk import export

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Express & Customs Operations Coordinator to join our client, a successful logistics and freight forwarding business specialising in express, AOG/NFO and time-critical shipments .

This is a fast-paced, customer-focused role where you will coordinate shipments, manage customer requirements and ensure customs and invoicing processes are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate express, AOG/NFO and time-critical shipments.
• Manage customer queries and operational issues through to resolution.
• Liaise with airlines, hauliers, co-loaders and transport providers.
• Process import/export documentation and submit customs declarations.
• Ensure HMRC customs compliance and manage queries through to closure.
• Complete accurate sales invoicing and job costing.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Carry out regular self-audits to ensure customs accuracy and compliance.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience within express freight, AOG/NFO or time-critical logistics .
• Good knowledge of HMRC import/export customs procedures .
• Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Good IT skills, including Excel and CRM systems ; BoxTop experience is advantageous.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
