Your new school

I am currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Birmingham seeking experienced and dedicated SEN Teachers to lead specialist SEN provisions, including Nurture, Nest and Enhanced Resource Bases.

These rewarding roles involve teaching small groups of pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, cognition and learning difficulties, and communication needs. You will be responsible for delivering highly personalised learning programmes, adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs, and supporting pupils to achieve both academically and socially. Working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs and wider school staff, you will create a nurturing and structured environment that enables every child to thrive and reach their full potential.

Your new role

  • Teaching a small class of approximately 10 pupils with EHCPs or additional support plans
  • Delivering individualised learning pathways
  • Working alongside at least one full-time Teaching Assistant, potentially more depending on the school
  • Supported by an experienced SENDCo and wider team
  • Additional planning and monitoring support from an experienced SEN teacher

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong experience working with SEND (essential)
  • Confident in delivering adaptive teaching and interventions
  • A nurturing, structured and engaging approach to learning

Please note: this role is not suitable for ECTs due to the level of experience required.
