Test Engineering Expert
Privaloma:QA/TestLead
Employment type: Full-time Vacancies: 1
About the Role
This role establishes the system test and validation framework covering complete systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS and is accountable for test coverage, defect detection, pre-certification validation, and production-quality support.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish a system-level test framework for complete residential energy storage systems, PCS, BMS, and EMS. Develop test plans and cases covering functionality, performance, reliability, product safety, and grid compatibility.
- Lead new-product prototype testing, release regression testing, and mass-production reliability sampling. Validate grid-connected and off-grid functions, power performance, charging and discharging, system interaction, and safety protection.
- Develop pre-compliance test plans based on applicable international energy storage certification standards, and manage certification testing and corrective-action closure.
- Collect and analyze test data, isolate hardware, software, mechanical, and algorithm defects, issue test reports and corrective recommendations, and drive issue closure.
- Continuously improve test processes, standards, and platforms to increase coverage and efficiency and protect mass-production quality and compliance.
- Monitor changes in industry test standards, update test plans, and support technical validation of new products.
- Plan test laboratories, test benches, instruments, and automation capabilities and establish equipment calibration, maintenance, and safe-operating requirements.
- Maintain traceability from requirements to test cases, defects, and corrective results, and regularly assess test coverage and residual risk.
- Lead root-cause analysis and reproduction testing for major issues and coordinate corrective action across research and development, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, new energy, automation, test engineering, or a related discipline. At least 10 years of development or testing experience in power products, including photovoltaic inverters, residential energy storage, or UPS. Familiarity with the IPD process is required; end-to-end system testing experience for energy storage products is preferred.
- Familiarity with energy storage circuit topologies such as LLC and three-level inverter topologies, with working knowledge of power distribution and mechanical design.
- Knowledge of power circuit topologies such as LLC converters and three-level inverters, together with relevant power distribution and mechanical design knowledge to support multidisciplinary fault diagnosis.
- Knowledge of test principles and methods for complete residential energy storage systems, BMS, PCS, and EMS, with expertise in functional, performance, reliability, and product safety testing.
- Familiarity with applicable international safety and grid-connection test standards for energy storage products. Certification testing experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with energy storage test equipment and the ability to independently develop test plans, isolate faults, and analyze data.
- Careful and methodical, with strong issue-closure skills. Able to prepare testing and certification documents in English and communicate with international certification bodies and cross-border teams.
- Experience in test automation, test-data analysis, and test-case management.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety, equipment calibration, and test-result traceability requirements.
