The Senior Accountant supports the financial close and helps ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and aligned with US GAAP. This role contributes to general ledger and inventory accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, systems, and process improvement initiatives. Working with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional partners, you’ll resolve complex accounting matters, strengthen recurring processes, support Microsoft D365 enhancements, and help ensure the accurate valuation and reporting of inventory across a growing organization.
In This Role
Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and related financial reporting deliverables
Analyze financial results, account activity, expenses, and overhead allocations by cost center; investigate unusual trends and variances and communicate findings to Accounting, Finance, and operational partners
Own assigned balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine, investigate reconciling items, resolve discrepancies, and maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready supporting documentation
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses to requests, and perform accounting research and supporting analyses for assigned or non-routine transactions
Support Microsoft D365 and related financial system enhancements across the general ledger, inventory, and other accounting processes through testing, data validation, issue resolution, and process documentation
Validate product costs and landed cost components, including freight, duties, tariffs, handling, and storage fees, and analyze their specific impact on inventory valuation and gross margin
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations teams to monitor inventory movements, returns, and adjustments, research related discrepancies, and confirm appropriate accounting treatment
Support periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory processes, including planning, reconciliation, investigation of variances, documentation of results, and coordination with operational teams
Continuously scale and improve current processes and policies to meet the needs of a high-growth organization

The Ideal Person
5+ years of progressive general ledger, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience; experience in a multi-entity or high-growth environment is a plus
Experience with inventory or cost accounting is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA license or path to CPA preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience applying internal controls and cost flow principles, including FIFO and weighted average
Experience supporting technical accounting research and international accounting matters is preferred
Experience working with ERP and financial systems, including inventory subledgers; experience supporting system enhancements or implementations is preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data reconciliation techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and deliver accurate, well-supported conclusions
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
Demonstrates integrity and accountability by taking ownership of deliverables, escalating issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
