Medical Officer

Key Duties and responsibilities

Ø  Undertaking first-on-call duties, including clerking, investigating, and managing patients. Ø  Reviewing patients and documenting recommendations accurately. Ø  Conducting outpatient clinics and assisting in theatre procedures. Ø  Performing emergency surgeries and life-saving interventions when required. Ø  Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including specialists to ensure quality care of patients. Ø  Carrying out medical examinations and preparing detailed medical reports. Ø  Participating in outreach programs and community health initiatives. Ø  Ensuring accurate data collection and reporting for patient care and hospital records. Ø  Participating in managements of medicine and medical instruments and equipment. Ø  Providing health education. Ø  Any other duties as may be assigned.

Key Qualifications and Experience Requirements

Ø  Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from an institution Ø  recognized by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council. Ø  Registration Certificate by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. Ø  Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council. Ø  Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Ø  certificate will be an added advantage. Ø  Must possess a professional indemnity cover. Ø  Proficiency in computer applications. Ø  Two years of post-internship experience.
