Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve expense claims through the company system to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Verify supporting documents for reimbursement and payment requests, including tax invoices, receipts, contracts, approval documents, and other supporting evidence.
• Provide guidance to various departments on proper accounting and tax documentation requirements, as well as best practices to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Analyze and assess the appropriateness of expense transactions, including identifying potential accounting and tax risks.
• Review accounting entries prepared by team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to team members on accounting entries, document verification, and expense-related processes.
• Prepare and review accruals, adjustment entries, and other related accounting transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate unusual balances or discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
• Support month-end closing activities, as well as internal and external audit requirements.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of internal controls and expense management processes to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting . Minimum 5 years of experience in Expense Accounting, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, or related accounting functions. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Value Added Tax (VAT), Withholding Tax (WHT), and other relevant tax regulations. Experience in reviewing supporting documents and ensuring the accuracy of accounting transactions. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Ability to communicate in English or Chinese will be an advantage. Able to work effectively with Chinese colleagues and cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an advantage. Able to drive and possess a valid driver's license. Good English communication skills.
