Factory Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee overall factory operations, including Production, Planning, Warehouse, Maintenance, Engineering, and Facilities/Utilities.

1. Develop production, capacity, manpower, machinery, and material plans based on sales forecasts and customer orders.

1. Analyze and manage production capacity, bottlenecks, lead times, and operational risks that may affect production and delivery.

1. Ensure factory operations comply with quality standards, applicable laws, customer requirements, and company policies.

1. Improve productivity, OEE, yield, production capacity, and cost efficiency while reducing waste, downtime, overtime, and cost per unit.

1. Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Standard Work, Automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

1. Prepare and manage the factory budget, analyze manufacturing costs, and propose CAPEX projects based on ROI and payback period.

1. Ensure the reliability and readiness of machinery, utilities, buildings, and factory facilities through preventive maintenance systems.

1. Oversee raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-process, and finished goods to ensure availability, inventory accuracy, and traceability.

1. Lead and develop managers, supervisors, and employees through KPIs, coaching, skill matrices, performance reviews, and succession planning.

1. Collaborate with QA & QC, R&D, Purchasing, Sales, Finance, HR, and other relevant departments.

1. Report factory performance, costs, quality, risks, and recommendations to the CEO and develop a 1–3-year factory roadmap.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 12–15 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 5–7 years in a senior management role such as Factory Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or Senior Production Manager. Proven experience in end-to-end factory management, covering Production, Planning, Warehouse, Maintenance, Engineering, Utilities, and coordination with QA/QC. Strong knowledge of Production Planning, Capacity Planning, Manpower Planning, Machine Planning, and Material Planning based on forecasts and customer orders. Proven track record in improving Productivity, OEE, Yield, Capacity, Cycle Time, Downtime, Scrap, Waste, and OT costs. Strong experience in factory budgeting, manufacturing cost control, cost reduction, CAPEX planning, ROI, and payback analysis. Solid knowledge of maintenance and machine reliability, including Preventive Maintenance, Breakdown Analysis, MTBF, MTTR, Critical Spare Parts, Utilities, and Facility Management. Good understanding of quality management systems and compliance, including ISO, GMP, Traceability, NCR, CAPA, Customer Complaints, and Audit requirements. Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in coaching Managers, Supervisors, and Leaders, performance management, skill development, and succession planning. Strong strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, and executive communication skills, with the ability to use ERP/MRP, Excel, KPI dashboards, and present recommendations to senior management or the CEO.
