Job Responsibilities (Aluminium & Glazing Drafter)
- Prepare detailed shop drawings for aluminium and glazing works, including doors, windows, curtain walls, skylights, railings, and related systems.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce accurate drawings.
- Coordinate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams to ensure drawings comply with project requirements.
- Prepare material take-offs (MTO) and assist in quantity calculations for procurement and cost control.
- Revise and update drawings based on consultants’ and clients’ comments.
- Liaise with suppliers and fabricators to confirm technical details, profiles, and installation methods.
- Support submission of drawings for approval and track approval status.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of all drawings.
- Assist in resolving technical issues during fabrication and installation stages.
- Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage).
- Experience in aluminium and glazing industry is preferred.
- Familiar with curtain wall systems, sliding systems, and façade detailing.
