Water Damage Restoration Technician

Fire & Flood Restoration Technician (Water Damage) £29,000 - £35,750 per annum Full-Time | Permanent Based in Chessington, covering London and Surrey Esteem Services / Disaster Care Home Counties is seeking a motivated W ater Damage Restoration Technician to join our team. This role is primarily focused on water damage restoration, escape of water incidents, and structural drying . You will attend residential and commercial properties affected by water ingress, carrying out detailed moisture inspections to determine the extent of damage and develop effective drying strategies. Key responsibilities include taking accurate moisture readings, assessing how water has migrated through building materials and structures, installing appropriate drying equipment, and monitoring progress until industry drying standards have been achieved. This is a practical, hands-on position that also requires strong technical understanding. Successful restoration relies on accurately assessing damage, understanding building construction and material behaviour, selecting the most effective drying methods, and adapting the drying strategy as conditions change. The role offers an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with field-based restoration work.

What We Offer: The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training in all aspects of restoration and leak detection. Candidates with plumbing or building experience will find this knowledge particularly advantageous.

Job Details: This is a full-time position with standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. There may be occasional requirements to work additional hours Weekend call-outs are rare but can be discussed during the interview process.
