Engineering Technician

Job description

Intercomp is hiring a full-time engineering technician for design and continuation engineering testing.

Responsibilities:

Build and test new design prototypes

Build test wire and cable harnesses to support testing, including some soldering

Perform testing on products or sub-assemblies and provide test reports (using Excel and Word)

Troubleshoot defective units from production and make necessary repairs

Write assembly instructions for new product design releases

Work with in-house computer systems to assist in new product release details such as entry of bills of material

Work with in-house systems to process engineering change notices

Qualifications:

Two-year technical degree (AAS)

0-5 years’ experience or more as an engineering technician

Basic knowledge of electronics

Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools

Experience with common lab test equipment such as multimeters

Experience with CAD

Experience with sensors

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with BOMs and routings in MS Business Central or ERP system

Optional: Experience with PCB schematics and/or debugging PCBs
