Financial Crime Compliance Officer

We are partnering our client, an established financial services platform, to hire a Compliance Officer (Financial Crime Compliance) .

This role has a broad exposure across multiple business lines, including institutional brokerage, sales and trading, investment banking, derivatives, fixed income, wealth management and asset management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support AML/CFT compliance across Singapore licensed entities and business lines
• Conduct enterprise-wide ML/TF risk assessments
• Monitor client relationships and transactions for suspicious activity
• Review KYC, onboarding and periodic review documentation
• Advise business, operations and support teams on AML/CFT requirements
• Support remediation exercises, screenings and ad-hoc financial crime risk reviews
• Draft STRs and escalate material AML/CFT issues to senior stakeholders
• Prepare financial crime compliance updates for management and governance forums
• Conduct AML/CFT training and compliance monitoring
• Support MAS, SGX, internal and external audits relating to financial crime matters
• Track regulatory developments and recommend framework enhancements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of financial crime compliance experience
• Prior exposure to securities, brokerage, capital markets or investment businesses strongly preferred
• Broad AML/CFT expertise across multiple business lines, rather than a narrow KYC-only background
• Strong understanding of MAS AML/CFT requirements
• Comfortable operating independently as an individual contributor in Singapore
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills
