HSE Officer

Responsibilities:

Identifying workplace hazards and risks and implementing appropriate control measures to prevent accidents and incidents. Conducting risk assessments and developing Safe Systems of Work (SSW) for technical and hazardous activities. Overseeing permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities (electrical isolation, working at height, confined space, hot works). Promote a proactive safety culture through toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and visible engagement with the on-site team. Support emergency preparedness planning and drills (fire, evacuation, critical incident response) across the site.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience as an HSE Officer or in a similar capacity. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH and ISO are a significant advantage.
