QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Summary We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for managing and monitoring project quantities, costs, contracts, and commercial documentation. The role will support accurate cost estimation, measurement, valuation, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Prepare quantity take-offs, estimates, and cost calculations based on approved drawings and specifications. Measure and quantify materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for construction activities. Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and other quantity-related documents. Monitor actual quantities and project costs against approved budgets and contract requirements. Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scope of work to identify quantity and cost requirements. Prepare and evaluate progress billings and payment applications for subcontractors and suppliers. Verify actual site accomplishments and quantities for billing and payment purposes. Monitor and evaluate variation orders, change orders, and additional works. Assist in the preparation and evaluation of claims, including time and cost impacts. Coordinate with Project Engineers, Planning Engineers, Cost Engineers, Procurement, Finance, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Conduct regular site visits to verify completed works and actual quantities. Maintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, costs, variations, and project documentation. Assist in monitoring project cash flow and commercial performance. Review subcontractor and supplier quotations and supporting documents. Prepare periodic commercial and quantity reports for project management. Ensure that all measurements and valuations comply with contract terms, approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Assist in project close-out, including final accounts and reconciliation of quantities. Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. At least 2–3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Control, Estimating , or related construction functions. Experience in Building, Infrastructure, Heavy Civil, or Light Civil projects is an advantage. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quantity measurement. Experience in preparing BOQ, quantity take-offs, progress billings, and variation orders. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other quantity surveying or estimating software. Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills. Good communication and coordination skills. Willing to be assigned to project sites and work in different locations.
