We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead the manufacturing and processing operations in our busy fruit and vegetable production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily running of the production line, including potato processing, fresh vegetable preparation, packing and prepared produce operations
- Plan production schedules, oversee manufacturing processes and maintain high standards of product quality and presentation
- Ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP and BRCGS standards)
- Control stock, costs, waste and overall profitability of the production operation
- Lead, train and motivate the production team
- Deliver efficient, high-quality output to support our retail, catering and wholesale customers
Person Specification:
- Previous experience in a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager role (ideally within food processing or fresh produce)
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (Level 2/3 Food Hygiene essential; experience with HACCP/BRCGS preferred)
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to drive efficiency and productivity
- Flexible with availability, including weekends
