Software Engineer II (R-19741)

Responsibilities: Be an integral member of a cross-functional team in an agile environment

Develop platform capabilities to meet business requirements

Determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions

Validate solutions using proof of concepts and prototypes

Write simple code (low maintenance, extensibility, testability and performance)

Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts/technologies

Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services at scale

Explore practical uses of AI-assisted engineering tools to improve developer productivity, code quality and delivery efficiency

Mentoring and supporting junior members of the teams

Your experience and/or qualifications: You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

You will have around 3+ years of experience developing commercial software

You will have experience working on Web Service APIs using Java and Spring

You will have experience delivering solutions on GCP or AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available

You have worked in a collaborative setting

You will be a problem solver

You demonstrate humility, empathy and support for your colleagues

You are curious about emerging technologies, including AI-assisted development, and apply sound engineering judgment when adopting new tools
