Coordinator / Associate
Directure is an international management consulting firm devoted to advising and assisting organisations within life science, healthcare and other regulated industries, to realise their strategy aspirations. We operate through an integrated approach to consulting, combining best practice standards and disciplines of Management Consulting, International Search and People Resource Consulting. Today, Directure advises a variety of companies that seek guidance and counselling on business and senior leadership needs with an increasing access to executives around the world. We combine the in-depth expertise of an international advisor with the focus and flexibility of a boutique consulting firm that has put impact above size.
Coordinator / Associate
The Role
Part Coordinator, part Associate — all inside the work
Directure's consultants run complex, multi-client advisory practices. They need someone close — someone who keeps the operational side running with precision while also contributing to the substantive work: research, analysis, and the polished outputs clients receive.
This Associate/Coordinator role sits at the intersection of those two things. You will own the administrative infrastructure that makes consultants effective — diary, travel, planning, correspondence — and you will contribute directly to client deliverables: desk research, data synthesis, and advanced PowerPoint presentations built to a consulting standard.
It is an unusual position, and deliberately so. You will see the full arc of consulting engagements, from brief to delivery, without the distance that typical coordinator roles create. For the right person — organised, analytical, and ambitious — it is an accelerated route into consulting work.
Responsibilities
Two distinct, equally important areas of work
Administration & Coordination
Own and manage a complex partner and consultant diaries — scheduling, sequencing, and protecting time for deep work
Plan and coordinate all travel: flights, accommodation, ground logistics, and changes in the field
Prepare meeting agendas, briefing notes, and follow-up actions; manage correspondence independently where appropriate
Track project timelines, upcoming milestones, and internal team deadlines across active engagements
Administrative coordination with Finance.
Maintain organised filing systems and document libraries for ongoing project matters
Research, Analysis & Presentations
Conduct desk research on industries, markets, competitors, and regulatory environments in support of client engagements
Synthesise findings into structured summaries and analytical frameworks ready for review
Build and maintain advanced PowerPoint presentations — slide logic, visual hierarchy, data visualisation — to a standard appropriate for senior client audiences
Support data gathering and basic modelling tasks using Excel
Assist in preparing pitch materials, proposals, and thought-leadership content
Quality-check outputs before client delivery: language, consistency, and visual finish
What We're Looking For
Skills, background, and ways of working
An academic degree and experience in a professional services, consulting, corporate, or equivalent environment — you understand what high-standard output looks like
Strong PowerPoint skills are essential: you can build a structured, visually coherent presentation from a brief, not just populate a template
Research-literate — comfortable gathering, assessing, and structuring information from multiple sources into something useful for decision-making
Organised in a way that holds under pressure: priorities shift, deadlines accelerate, and you adapt without dropping things
Excellent written communication in English; your drafts need minimal editing before they go out
Proficient in Microsoft 365 — Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint — and quick to learn tools you haven't used before
Discreet and professional in your handling of sensitive information; you understand what confidentiality means in a client-facing environment
Curious about the work itself — you want to understand the engagements you're supporting, not just manage the calendar around them
Why This Role
What you get from working here
Directure is a small firm doing substantive work. That means the hierarchy is flat, the access is real, and your contributions are visible. You will not spend years waiting to be close to the interesting problems. This role is structured for someone who is serious about building a career in consulting — or who wants to develop a professional practice that sits across organisational and analytical work.
The remuneration reflects your qualifications.
