Senior Trade Finance executive

Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end trade finance operations,including letters of credit, documentary collections, bank guarantees andstandby letters of credit.
- Review letters of credit and tradedocumentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates andinsurance documents, to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual andbanking requirements.
- Prepare, check and submit trade financeapplications, amendments, drawdowns and supporting documents to banks withinrequired timelines.
- Identify documentary discrepancies, assesstransaction risks and coordinate timely rectification with internalstakeholders, banks and counterparties.
- Monitor trade finance facilities, limits,utilisation, maturity dates, fees and financing costs, and maintain accuratetransaction trackers and records.
- Liaise with relationship banks ontransaction processing, facility documentation, pricing and operationalmatters.
- Ensure transactions comply with internalapproval authorities, maker-checker controls, AML, sanctions and otherapplicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Commercial,Operations, Finance, Legal and Compliance teams on shipping, bunkering andtrading transactions.
- Support cash flow planning by providingvisibility on upcoming payments, receipts, financing obligations and facilityavailability.
- Guide junior team members, prioritiseurgent transactions and review work for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in improving trade financeworkflows, templates, controls and reporting processes.
- Perform other duties and ad hoc assignmentsas required.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Banking,Accountancy, Business, Economics or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of relevant trade financeexperience, preferably within the shipping, bunkering, commodities trading ormaritime industry.
- Sound practical knowledge of letters ofcredit, documentary collections, bank guarantees, standby letters of credit andshipping documents.
- Good understanding of trade financecontrols, sanctions, AML requirements and common banking practices.
- Experience dealing with banks and managingtrade facilities, transaction documentation and time-sensitive submissions.
- Strong attention to detail with the abilityto identify discrepancies and manage multiple transactions independently.
- Good written and verbal communicationskills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across internal departmentsand external parties.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experiencewith ERP, treasury or trade finance systems is an advantage.
- Able to work independently in a fast-pacedenvironment and meet tight deadlines with a high level of integrity andaccountability.
