COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for advising Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) stakeholders and supported command staff on matters pertaining to relationships and interactions between all interested organizations and parties. The duration Combatant Command Representative (CCR) tours will be "3 year appointment with the option to extend in 1-year increments, not to exceed 4 years"

Major duties

As a COMBATANT COMMAND REPRESENTATIVE at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Perform duties as Operations Manager for CCR team Represents DTRA in action officer level forums and staff meetings Assists supported command in navigating DTRA to get desired support (CFR, RFIs, KLEs, etc...) Maintains awareness of supported command's complex mission challenges and gaps in CWMD and CBRN-Defense Utilizes subject matter expertise in CWMD and CBRN-Defense to make recommendations to supported command for resolving gaps and areas of perceived need Facilitate the flow of information and support between DTRA and supported command Track and monitor DTRA OAIs within the supported AOR Coordinate, enable & synchronize DTRA's OAIs impacting their AOR Advise supported command on CBRN-D/CWMD in times of conflict and crisis planning Possess a broad understanding of the priorities and campaign objectives of the PACOM HQ and the missions of its Service Component Commands

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Directs CCR team operations by systematically tracking, monitoring, and synchronizing Agency's Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) across the supported Command AOR to ensure seamless operational alignment and mission execution. Directs executive-level written and verbal communication workflows for key leadership, establishing standardized information-sharing protocols that enhanced situational awareness and accelerated decision cycles. Applies a broad-scoped understanding of the CBRN-Defense and Counter WMD enterprise and functions in support of CCMD. Serves as the primary conduit between supported command leadership and DoW, translating complex CWMD/CBRN-D mission requirements into actionable support requests, RFIs, and key leader engagements. Drives customer-focused analytical support and subject matter expertise to develop critical plans, policies, and operational projects mitigating WMD and CBRN threats across the supported command Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
