About Datachain's Initiatives

On September 5, 2024, we announced a project to build a cross-border remittance infrastructure with international organizations! By using stablecoins, digital currencies whose value is linked to fiat currency, we aim to enable fast, cheap, and convenient international remittances.

Since its founding in 2018, Datachain has been conducting R&D on technology and business opportunities with the goal of creating a de facto infrastructure as a "global x deep tech" initiative originating in Japan.

Our company aims to become a decacorn (a startup with a corporate value of over $10 billion), and it's often said that to achieve this goal, we need to "win in global x deep tech."

The aforementioned cross-border remittance infrastructure project was launched as a major first step toward this goal. Currently, we are moving forward with the project with an advantage thanks to Japan's advanced legal framework. However, given the large size of the market, global competition is expected to intensify in the future.

In this climate, we are rapidly expanding our recruitment efforts, primarily for our development team, to pioneer the creation of a "de facto infrastructure" based on "global x deep tech" from Japan.

Why Datachain Can Realize This

We have already begun developing an international remittance platform using stablecoins in collaboration with international organizations that connect financial institutions around the world.

In June 2023, Japan became the first developed country to enact a bill regarding blockchain stablecoins, making Japan a world leader in legal development. This is important for major companies to utilize stablecoins.

Datachain's research and development of inter-blockchain communication technology is world-leading.

What Makes This Position Rewarding

The SRE Lead Engineer must launch new systems to drive major new business ventures, and to create an environment for building the ideal system, they must take on the role of team leader, i.e., leading the team.

In addition to knowledge of standard web application infrastructure, the implementation role offers the exciting challenge of developing blockchain-specific tasks such as node management!

Requirements

Experience designing and building based on cloud architecture best practices

Experience with continuous development and system stability initiatives, including CI/CD, observability, and performance improvement

Experience making operationally focused technical decisions while ensuring flexibility, including mid- to long-term system changes

Implementation experience using statically typed languages (Go, C/C++, Java, Rust, Scala, etc.), capturing the unique characteristics of each language

Ability to deduce and isolate problems in unknown systems

A willingness to build systems with high security requirements

Interest in and ongoing curiosity about the technologies that make up blockchain

Welcome requirements

SRE-equivalent experience in environments with high security requirements, such as financial institutions and FinTech companies

Distributed systems-related experience

Engineering technical PR/recruitment experience

Operational experience for large-scale applications and high-traffic services

OSS publishing and contribution experience

Blockchain-related development experience
