Software Engineer / Prompt Engineer (C# / .NET)
About the Role Our client is a well-established technology and services organisation undergoing active digital transformation, with a strong focus on delivering innovative AI-powered and software solutions. They are seeking a resourceful and technically adept Software Engineer / Prompt Engineer to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software and AI solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance customer experience. This role sits at the intersection of traditional software engineering and emerging AI capabilities, making it an exciting opportunity for engineers keen to work across both domains. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a meaningful part in shaping the organisation's technology roadmap. Key Responsibilities Design and develop robust software and AI-powered solutions that address business requirements and improve operational efficiency across the organisation Evaluate technical and operational feasibility by analysing requirements, problem definitions, and proposed solution approaches in collaboration with Business Analysts and Solution Architects Architect and build scalable, maintainable systems by applying sound software design patterns and adhering to established development standards and coding best practices Test and deploy software systems by preparing detailed specifications, deployment plans, and executing releases that meet reliability and performance expectations Drive agile development practices across the team to ensure timely feature delivery and responsiveness to evolving business needs Document solutions comprehensively using flowcharts, diagrams, and inline code documentation to support long-term maintainability and team knowledge sharing Demonstrate developed solutions to stakeholders, gather feedback, and implement continuous improvements to functionality and user experience Investigate system issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions that enhance overall system reliability and user satisfaction Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of software development experience for senior-level candidates; 2–3 years for mid-level candidates; 2+ years in a team lead capacity where applicable Strong proficiency in one or more of the following: C# / .NET , Java, Python, or JavaScript, with solid understanding of software architecture and system scalability Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure, and proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing practices Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain (is a bonus) Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions, and prior experience collaborating within or leading software development teams If you are passionate about technology and meet the above requirements, please don't hesitate to apply.
