Role Description The Video Editor role at Crime Busters TV is a full-time, on-site position based in Abeokuta, Ogun State Nigeria. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, selecting impactful shots, and creating coherent, engaging episodes aligned with the program’s editorial and public safety objectives. Daily tasks include cutting and refining video segments, synchronizing audio, applying transitions and effects, performing basic color corrections, and incorporating motion graphics and static graphics. The role involves collaborating with producers, camera operators, and scriptwriters to maintain visual consistency and meet broadcast deadlines. The Video Editor will also manage file organization, maintain project archives, and ensure all content adheres to technical standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications

Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing, including handling various video formats and timelines. Proficiency in Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality and maintain consistent tone across episodes. Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics to support storytelling and on-screen information. Experience with professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and graphic tools (e.g., After Effects, Photoshop). Solid understanding of broadcast standards, audio-visual quality control, and file management best practices. Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative environment. Relevant education or training in film, media, communications, or a related field is preferred. Prior experience in television, documentary, or news production, especially in law enforcement or public interest programming, is an advantage.
