AFTER-SALES SERVICE TECHNICIAN
About CIMC Vehicles CIMC Vehicles is a global leader in the manufacturing of semi-trailers and specialized vehicles, operating across multiple international markets. As part of our strategic expansion in Southeast Asia, we are establishing a new subsidiary in Indonesia and are seeking talented individuals to join our team. Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled After-Sales Service Technician to establish and deliver exceptional technical support services for our semi-trailer and specialized vehicle products. You will play a key role in building our after-sales service function from the ground up, ensuring customer satisfaction and product performance in the Indonesian market. Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of CIMC semi-trailers and specialized vehicles at customer locations
- Diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions in alignment with CIMC Group standards
- Conduct product training and technical guidance to customers and dealers
- Prepare detailed service reports and documentation for local management and HQ reporting
- Build strong relationships with customers through excellent service delivery and responsiveness
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams (including coordination with China HQ) to resolve complex technical issues
- Manage spare parts coordination and provide feedback to improve product quality
- Support warranty claims processing and technical investigations
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, or Industrial Engineering
- 2-4 years of experience in after-sales service, field service, or technical support, preferably in commercial vehicles, trailers, or heavy equipment industry
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
- Willing to travel extensively across Indonesia (outstation/domestic travel required)
- Possess a valid driver's license (SIM C) and own motorcycle; SIM B is a plus
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with customer-oriented mindset
- Experience with semi-trailers, trucks, or heavy equipment is highly preferred
- Ability to work in a start-up environment and build processes from scratch
Skills & Competencies
- Technical expertise in commercial vehicle systems (chassis, braking, suspension, electrical)
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and mechanical assembly is advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Basic computer skills (MS Office) for reporting
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia; English proficiency is highly valued for communication with regional teams
- Mandarin language skills are a strong advantage for coordination with China HQ
- High integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to safety standard
