DutiesProvide day-to-day support, encouragement and accountability to residentsFacilitate and supervise daily routines, chores and programmingDocument resident progress, incidents and shift notesSupport residents at appointments, meetings and community activitiesMaintain a safe, clean and welcoming home environmentUphold confidentiality, boundaries and program policies at all timesQualificationsGrade 12 or equivalentGenuine heart for women in recovery and alignment with our Christian faith valuesStrong interpersonal, listening and de-escalation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, including evenings, nights and weekendsCurrent criminal record check with vulnerable sector searchValid driver's licence AssetsExperience in addictions, mental health, social work or a related fieldFirst Aid / CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First AidLived experience of recovery (minimum two years of sustained sobriety)Working ConditionsWork takes place in a residential home setting with rotating shifts, including overnights and weekends. The role can be emotionally demanding and requires physical activity such as walking, standing and light lifting.
