Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership
Lead the design and development of BI architecture, data models, and data pipelines. Define best practices for data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting. Review code and ensure high-quality, maintainable BI solutions. Select appropriate BI tools and technologies.
- BI Solution Development
Design and develop dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. Optimize data models for performance and scalability. Implement data transformations, aggregation, and business logic.
Common tools include:
Microsoft Power BI Tableau Qlik Sense
- Data Engineering & Architecture
Design data warehouse or lakehouse architecture. Develop ETL pipelines using tools like: Azure Data Factory Apache Airflow Informatica Work with databases such as: Snowflake Amazon Redshift Google BigQuery
- Team Leadership
Lead and mentor BI developers and data engineers. Conduct design reviews and technical guidance. Ensure agile development practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
Work with business teams, product owners, and analysts. Translate business requirements into technical BI solutions. Deliver insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Data Governance & Quality
Ensure data consistency, security, and governance. Define data standards, naming conventions, and validation rules. Implement monitoring and data quality checks.
