Job Summary
Support engineering and consultancy activities by performing mechanical building services design, feasibility studies, project management, and inspections under the guidance of a Mechanical PE.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical building services designs including ACMV, Fire Protection, Sanitary and Plumbing, and Vertical Transportation systems to meet project requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and perform engineering calculations to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and evaluate tenders to support project procurement and execution
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities to ensure timely project completion and regulatory compliance
- Review and develop detailed engineering calculations for mechanical systems
- Conduct inspections of mechanical systems to verify installation and operational standards
- Assist the Mechanical PE with Authority submissions to secure necessary approvals
- Collaborate with draftspersons to produce accurate engineering drawings
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate project progress and resolve issues
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications to document and report project information
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering with relevant design experience in ACMV, Fire Protection, Sanitary and Plumbing systems
- Knowledge of Singapore standards including code of practice, Green Mark standards, and fire codes relevant to the building industry
- Professional certifications such as Green Mark Manager, Singapore Certified Energy Manager, or BIM certification
- Experience working in engineering consultancy, mechanical consultancy, construction, or technical services environments
