The Opportunity

We are hiring a Business Development Representative to join our growing AMS team in Irving, TX. This is a first or early step in a B2B sales career: you will learn how modern outbound works, practise it every day, and be coached by people who do it well.

You will report to our BDR Team Lead and sit alongside a Senior BDR who sets the standard for the team. Your job is to start conversations with the right people at SAP-run businesses, find out whether there is a real need, and hand well-prepared meetings to our Account Executives.

You are not expected to know SAP or enterprise sales on day one. We will teach you both, and we care far more about how you learn, how you handle rejection and how you show up every day than about the logos on your CV.

What you'll do:

In your first months you can expect to:

  • Research target accounts and contacts using Salesforce, Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, building prospect lists that reflect the people we most want to talk to
  • Run outbound sequences across email, phone and LinkedIn, starting from proven templates and cadences, then personalising and testing your own as you learn what lands
  • Follow up quickly on warm leads from marketing campaigns, webinars and events
  • Hold short discovery conversations to understand whether a prospect has a genuine need, using a structured qualification framework you will be trained on
  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and hand over clear, accurate notes so they can pick up the conversation with confidence
  • Handle early objections calmly, and review your calls and emails with your Team Lead so every week you are sharper than the last
  • Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date every day, including activity, notes and next steps
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales so your messaging and targeting stay aligned with live campaigns
  • Build your knowledge of the SAP ecosystem and our products, including ActiveControl and Klario, so you can speak with credibility
  • Work towards clear weekly activity and monthly meeting targets, and be open about what is and is not working

Is this opportunity for you?

This role is designed for someone at the start of their sales career. You might be:

  • Someone with around 6 to 12 months of B2B sales, SDR, inside sales or lead generation experience, looking for your next step with more training and a stronger product to sell
  • Someone who has recently completed a sales bootcamp or sales development programme, and can show what you learned and how you have practised it
  • Someone from a customer-facing role such as customer support, retail or hospitality, with a strong results story and a clear drive to move into tech sales

To set yourself up for success, you will bring:

  • Hands-on exposure to outbound prospecting, such as cold calling, cold email or LinkedIn outreach, through work, training or a bootcamp project
  • Familiarity with some of the tools of modern sales. Apollo, Salesloft, Outreach, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce or HubSpot are all relevant, and training or certification counts. You do not need to know them all
  • Knowledge of at least one sales methodology or framework, such as SPIN, Challenger, Sandler, MEDDIC or SPICED, even at a foundational level
  • Clear writing and a confident, friendly phone manner
  • Resilience and coachability: you hear no often, ask for feedback and apply it quickly
  • Organised, accurate habits, with the discipline to keep your CRM up to date without being chased
  • Curiosity about technology, SAP and how large businesses manage change
  • Comfort working in a hybrid setup, three days a week in our Irving office, as part of a global team

You do not need SAP knowledge, enterprise sales experience or a track record of carrying a quota. If you already own an enterprise pipeline target or manage other BDRs, this is likely to be a step sideways rather than forward, and we would encourage you to look at our other openings.

How you will show us

We would love your application to bring to life how you operate, not just what you have done. As you apply, think about how you would evidence:

  • A piece of outreach you wrote or practised, why you think it worked, and what you would change
  • Which sales tools, courses or methodologies you have trained on, and one thing you learned from them that you have actually put into practice
  • A time you received tough feedback, and what you changed as a result
