ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are partnering with a leading A1 Main Contractor delivering major LTA MRT projects across Singapore . We are seeking an experienced Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to manage site safety, regulatory compliance and WSH standards across complex MRT construction works.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and maintain WSH policies, procedures and project safety requirements.
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
- Monitor construction activities and subcontractors for WSH compliance.
- Review risk assessments, method statements and safe work procedures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and awareness programs.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain WSH documentation, inspection records and statutory reports.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore WSH legislation and LTA project safety requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma, Degree or professional qualification in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the relevant Singapore authority.
- Strong WSH experience within the Singapore construction industry.
- LTA / MRT project experience strongly preferred.
- Main Contractor experience will be highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of WSH regulations, risk management and construction safety practices.
- Good communication, site coordination and stakeholder management capabilities.
