Sales Records & Inventory Officer
Responsibilities:
Record every sale in the system the same day: the order, the delivery of the goods, the invoice and the payment, so that nothing leaves the shop unrecorded.
Record every purchase from suppliers, including the exact price paid, and receive the goods into stock when they arrive.
Check at the close of each day that every sale is invoiced, every payment is posted, and every delivery that went out is marked as delivered.
Carry out a full physical stock count at the end of every month, shelf by shelf, and compare it to what the system says should be there.
Investigate every difference between the count and the system, explain it in writing, and report it to the owner. Never adjust a figure to make it match without an explanation.
Keep product records tidy: names, units of sale (piece, pack, carton) and barcodes.
Produce a simple monthly report: sales, purchases, stock on hand and stock differences.
Requirements:
OND, NCE, HND or BSc (Accounting, Business Administration or related).
1 to 3 years in stock-keeping, store records, bookkeeping or retail accounts.
Careful, honest, and patient with detail. You must be comfortable saying "the numbers do not agree" and finding out why.
Good with numbers and comfortable using a smartphone and a computer.
Experience counting stock in a shop, warehouse or store is a strong advantage.
Experience with any inventory or accounting software (Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage or similar) is an advantage. Training on our system will be provided.
Lives in or can easily reach Yenagoa.
