CNC VTL Machinist
Industry: Aerospace Location: East Singapore Working Hours: 5 days per week Basic Salary: S$3,500 – S$4,000 Gross Salary: Up to S$5,000
Job Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines to manufacture precision components.
- Set up and operate CNC VTL machines according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, dimensions, and machining specifications.
- Perform machine setup, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot basic machining and tooling issues.
- Ensure all finished components meet required quality and aerospace standards.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow workplace safety procedures.
- Complete production records and documentation as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating CNC VTL or CNC turning machines.
- Experience in precision engineering or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
- Able to read and understand technical drawings.
- Familiar with CNC machine setup, tooling, and cutting parameters.
- Able to use precision measuring instruments.
- Good understanding of machining processes and quality requirements.
