DJ / Event Music Curator
About the Role We are looking for a skilled DJ to deliver engaging music experiences for our events. The ideal candidate has strong technical mixing skills, an ear for reading crowds, and a professional approach to event preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Select, mix, and transition tracks to suit the event theme, audience, and atmosphere
- Read crowd energy and adjust setlists in real time
- Set up, test, and operate DJ equipment (decks, mixer, controllers, speakers, microphones)
- Coordinate with event organizers on schedules, sound levels, and special requests
- Maintain and troubleshoot audio equipment before and during events
- Prepare playlists and remixes aligned with briefs and genre requirements
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience mixing live at events (clubs, weddings, corporate functions, or similar)
- Proficiency with industry-standard equipment and software (e.g., Pioneer CDJ/DJM setups, rekordbox, Serato, Traktor)
- Strong beatmatching, phrasing, and scratching/blending techniques
- Broad knowledge of music genres and current releases
- Ability to troubleshoot basic audio/equipment issues on the spot
- Good time management and reliability
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience producing or editing tracks
- Familiarity with lighting control or visual syncing
- Certifications or training in audio technology
