Estimator - Build

Working with a Tier 1 main contractor in the UAE, taking ownership of tenders from enquiry through to submission.

• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications and identify scope
• Produce accurate take offs and build up rates for labour, material and plant
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Prepare full cost estimates and present them at settlement meetings
• Attend site visits and pre tender meetings with clients and consultants
• Work with the bid team to deliver submissions on time
• Support handover of won projects to the commercial team
• Estimating experience with a main contractor, ideally in the UAE or wider GCC
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or similar
• Strong take off and measurement skills, confident with CostX or similar
• Good understanding of the local supply chain and subcontractor market
• Able to manage several live tenders at once and work to deadlines
