HSE Officer
- Follow up daily site activities to ensure compliance with the project HSE Plan, permits, and Safe System of Work.
- Deliver toolbox talks to the workforce on relevant topics (PPE, working at height, manual handling, etc.).
- Carry out risk assessments and job safety analyses (JSAs) for site activities, in coordination with the HSE Supervisor.
- Inspect equipment, tools, and scaffolding within the assigned area of responsibility, and withdraw unsafe equipment from use.
- Coordinate with the construction team on the safe arrangement and housekeeping of the site.
- Conduct and support site emergency evacuation drills.
- Maintain site tidiness and good housekeeping standards, including waste Disposals.
- Provide on-the-spot advice to site teams on the safe system of work and respond to project team HSE inquires on site to rectify situations.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with induction, PPE, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Record and report incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate daily HSE records, inspection checklists, and statistics for reporting to the HSE Supervisor.
- Support first-aid response on site and coordinate with the site First-Aider where required.
Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
OSHA 30 Hours General Industry / OSHA 30 Hours Construction Industry.
3 - 5 years of HSE experience on construction sites, ideally on buildings, villas, or resort developments.
Practical experience with scaffolding inspection, PPE compliance monitoring, and toolbox talk delivery.
