Transport Officer

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise the company’s transport and fleet operations. Plan and monitor daily vehicle schedules, routes, pickups, and deliveries Coordinate drivers and ensure timely execution of assigned trips. Monitor vehicle movements and ensure efficient utilization of the fleet. Track fuel consumption, mileage, vehicle usage, and maintenance costs. Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and have valid statutory documents. Monitor drivers’ compliance with road safety regulations and company policies. Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and breakdowns. Liaise with clients, drivers, mechanics, and other service providers on transport-related matters. Prepare regular transport and fleet performance reports for management. Identify and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs. Respond promptly to transport-related challenges and ensure minimal disruption to logistics operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Transport Management and fleet Management. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in transport and fleet management. Must be a resident of Tema, its surrounding areas and willing to work in tema. Must be 36 years old and above. Good knowledge of transport and fleet management. Knowledge of route planning, dispatch operations, vehicle tracking, and delivery coordination. Ability to supervise and manage drivers effectively. Must be reliable, proactive, disciplined and results-oriented. A valid driver's license and practical driving experience will be an added advantage.
