Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for English Language Teachers based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. The role involves planning and delivering engaging English lessons, preparing teaching materials, and assessing learner progress on a regular basis. Teachers will support learners in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, while encouraging correct grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Daily tasks include classroom instruction, lesson planning, grading assignments, providing feedback, and maintaining accurate records. Teachers may also collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and contribute to educational programs that support the agency’s broader communication and content goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong English Teaching and Teaching skills, with the ability to instruct learners at different proficiency levels. Candidates should possess Lesson Planning and Education-related skills to design structured, effective, and learner-centered lesson plans. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to explain concepts clearly, provide feedback, and interact professionally with learners and colleagues. Relevant teaching certification, diploma, or degree in English, Education, or a related field is preferred. Prior classroom or tutoring experience in English language instruction is an advantage. Ability to manage a classroom, use basic educational technology, and adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs is beneficial. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to learner success are important for this role.
