Junior Electrical Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and responsible Junior Electrical Engineering Technician to support electrical installation and engineering activities for construction projects in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers in electrical installation and site activities.
• Assist in the installation, testing and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors and site workers to ensure smooth work progress.
• Conduct site inspections and check electrical installation works.
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting and rectification of electrical systems.
• Monitor work progress and report site issues to the project team.
• Ensure electrical works comply with project specifications, safety requirements and relevant regulations.
• Prepare basic site reports, checklists and work records.
• Assist with testing and commissioning activities.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards at the work site.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Engineer or Site Supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field .
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in electrical engineering, construction or installation works.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or practical experience may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods and construction practices.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Responsible, willing to learn and able to work independently.
• Safety-conscious and familiar with basic Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.
• Willing to work at different project sites in Singapore.
• Able to work in a construction-site environment.
