Audio Visual Technician

Stafford | £25,000–£30,000 | Full-time | On-site

Are you technically minded, practical and looking to build a career within the audio-visual industry?

We’re looking for an Audio Visual Technician to join a growing AV business in Stafford, supporting the installation, configuration and maintenance of audio-visual systems for a range of clients.

This is a great opportunity for someone with some technical, AV, IT, electrical, telecommunications or installation experience – or someone with the right practical aptitude who is keen to develop their skills within the AV industry.

The role

Working alongside experienced colleagues and project managers, you’ll help deliver AV installations from preparation through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Installing and setting up audio-visual equipment
• Running and terminating cabling
• Assisting with system configuration and testing
• Troubleshooting basic technical issues
• Preparing equipment, materials and tools for installations
• Supporting ongoing maintenance of AV systems
• Keeping accurate records of work completed
• Working with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered safely and on schedule
• Providing professional updates to clients when required
• Following health & safety procedures across client sites

About you

You’ll be practical, reliable and comfortable working with technology and technical equipment.

You may already have experience within AV, IT, telecommunications, electrical installation, construction or a similar technical environment , although extensive AV experience isn’t essential.

We’re particularly interested in people who have:

• An interest in audio-visual technology
• Good practical and problem-solving skills
• Experience using tools or working with cabling
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good organisation and time management
• A willingness to learn and develop technically

Relevant vocational qualifications, apprenticeships or certifications within AV, electrical or IT would be advantageous but aren't essential.
