Trading Analyst JG4 (Senior Contracts Advisor(Derivatives) Location: Singapore (Shell International Eastern Trading Co.) The Trading & Supply Contracts Team plays a critical role in supporting commercial activities by managing the complete . This includes pre-deal and post-deal commercial advisory, contract drafting and negotiation, risk analysis, internal approvals, records management, and delivering value-driven commercial guidance for complex contractual arrangements. We are seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Advisor(Derivatives) to join Shell's Singapore trading operations. Reporting to the Contracts Team Lead (Derivatives), you will provide expert contractual support to trading and commercial teams, with a primary focus on OTC derivatives agreements and associated regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Contracts Advisor, you will: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of standard and complex derivatives agreements, including: ISDA Agreements CSA and VMCSA Agreements Delegated Reporting Agreements Brokerage Agreements Service Level Agreements Master and Long Form Agreements
Provide expert commercial and contractual advice to trading and support teams while ensuring compliance with Shell policies and regulatory requirements. Assess contractual risks associated with trading activities and recommend commercially sound solutions. Support the negotiation and execution of OTC derivatives contracts and trade confirmations. Prepare and negotiate bespoke agreements to support new business opportunities and structured transactions. Assist in resolving contractual disputes with counterparties, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as required. Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes impacting derivatives trading activities. Maintain accurate records of ongoing negotiations and contractual documentation. Support compliance with governance, risk assurance, and audit requirements. Deliver both pre-deal and post-deal commercial advice to maximize business value. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Contracts Advisors and team members. Collaborate effectively within a dynamic global trading environment. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent legal/commercial contracting experience. Minimum 4 years' experience negotiating and managing derivative contracts, including ISDA agreements. Strong working knowledge of OTC derivatives trading documentation and contractual frameworks. Expertise in: ISDA Agreements Credit Support Annexes (CSA) Variation Margin CSAs (VMCSA) Brokerage Agreements Master Trading Agreements
Strong understanding of regulations governing derivatives trading activities. Excellent commercial judgment and risk assessment skills. Proven negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
