Fleet Recruitment Specialist

Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective strategies for recruiting riders, drivers, vehicle owners, transporters, and fleet partners.   Source candidates through referrals, field recruitment, online platforms, associations, communities, and other relevant channels.  Maintain a strong recruitment pipeline and ensure adequate fleet capacity across locations, vehicle categories, and service lines.  Screen applicants and verify their identity, licences, vehicle ownership, insurance, permits, guarantor information, and other required documents.  Coordinate interviews, background checks, vehicle inspections, onboarding, orientation, and platform registration.  Ensure recruited partners understand the company’s service standards, operating procedures, payment structure, safety requirements, and performance expectations.  Work closely with Fleet, Order Management, and Operations teams to forecast demand and prioritize recruitment needs.  Monitor newly onboarded partners through activation and initial deployment, and address challenges affecting their readiness or engagement.  Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment, verification, onboarding, and activation records.  Build and maintain relationships with rider and driver communities, transport associations, fleet owners, and other sourcing partners.  Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on recruitment pipelines, verified applicants, onboarding, activation, retention, recruitment costs, and outstanding requirements.   

Requirements:

An OND or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.   At least 4 years of relevant experience in fleet recruitment, field recruitment, logistics, transport operations, or a similar role.  An established network of riders, drivers, vehicle owners, transporters, fleet companies, and relevant transport associations is highly desirable.  Practical experience sourcing, screening, verifying, onboarding, and activating delivery or transport partners.  Good understanding of motorcycles, cars, vans, trucks, and other vehicle categories used for logistics operations.  Knowledge of driver, rider, and vehicle documentation, including licences, insurance, permits, identification, and ownership records.  Strong field-sourcing, networking, negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-management skills.  Ability to work with recruitment targets, maintain an active pipeline, and deliver within agreed timelines.  Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify incomplete, inconsistent, or questionable documentation.  Good written and verbal communication skills are important.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and relevant recruitment or fleet management platforms.  Willingness to conduct field recruitment and travel within assigned locations when required.  A proactive, resourceful, accountable, and results-driven approach to work.
