About the role
Work tasks
This role combines rigorous electrical design of three-phase systems with practical, hands-on assembly, testing, and documentation needed for high-quality weather radar development.
- Design three-phase electrical connections and wiring for servo systems and controllers
- Implement residual current and overvoltage protection to guarantee equipment safety
- Create detailed manufacturing documentation and electrical drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Perform hands-on electrical connections and assembly during mechanical installation phases
- Collaborate closely with a compact, multidisciplinary R&D team of mechanical and RF engineers
We are looking for
- At least two years of professional experience in electrical design
- Strong understanding of electrical safety principles
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for electrical drawings
- Professional working proficiency in English
It is meritorious if you have
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards such as IEC 61010 or IEC 62368
- Familiarity with the Machinery Directive
- Experience using PDM systems
- Skills in the Finnish language
Other information:
Start: As soon as possible Location: Vantaa Employment period: Permanent contract with Academic Work, at least 6 months with Vaisala with a possibility to extend or to be recruited to the client company later on
