Car Mechanic

We are looking for an experienced Car Mechanic to support our used car trading business. The mechanic will be responsible for inspecting vehicles, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out repairs, and ensuring vehicles are in good condition before resale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect used vehicles and identify mechanical, electrical and other technical issues.
• Diagnose faults and recommend the repairs or parts required.
• Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Check engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, AC, batteries and other vehicle systems.
• Conduct pre-purchase inspections and advise on the overall condition of vehicles before purchase.
• Inspect vehicles before resale and ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
• Coordinate with garages and spare-parts suppliers when external repairs or parts are required.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs where required.
• Maintain basic records of repairs, parts replaced and costs.
• Handle different makes and models of used cars.
• Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and hand tools effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in automotive mechanics is a plus.
