RESPONSIBILITIES
20% Strategy & Planning
- Employs planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
- Shows growing critical thinking and analysis to draw conclusions and construct actionable implications
- Begins the digital media plan development stage to collect RFP responses from partners / sites, assist in analyzing proposals and partner negotiations
- Evaluate vendor offerings and identify optimal media placements, negotiate rates, and develop strategic approach that best meets client needs
- Builds initial media recommendation for media plan for review from managers
- Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in paid social media environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge
- Compile updates on partner capabilities and offerings through vendor contact
- Participates in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development
- Support the training, onboarding and accuracy of work produced by Assistant Media Planner
25% Campaign Execution
- Traffic plan assets such as creative and required tracking tags
- Set up 3rd party ad server/tracker system: follows through to ensure sites are enabled, functioning properly and all materials are received from creative agency
- Executes Quality Assurance (QA) of tracking functionality and creative units to identify and solve any issues
- Creates campaign post launch information such as screenshots, links and placement information to demonstrate proof of placement for clients
30% Campaign Management
- Enters and manages plans in billing system (Advantage), tracks insertion orders, updates media authorizations, creative specifications development, and handles Traffic sheets/creative assignment as necessary
- Generates insertion orders within internal systems to reserve advertising space and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of plan details and confirmation of delivery per protocol
- Maintain plan records, insertion orders, contact lists, spec documents etc.
- Creates creative allocation sheet and manage the process with Account, Production, and Analytics
- Manages day-to-day communication with key partners: Vendors, Partner Agencies and Creative media and social clients
25% Campaign Reporting & Insights
- Monitors reporting weekly, inclusive of aggregating information from third party servers and site direct reporting
- Compile client-facing reports that highlight campaign KPIs. You should be able to speak to what is performing well, as well as identify areas for ongoing data-driven optimizations
- Comfortable looking at data, developing reporting insights and providing recommended optimizations to improve campaign performance
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience with integrated media
- Experience with omnichannel media planning and buying across digital, audio, OOH, streaming, traditional and emerging channels
- Experience with ad trafficking via CM360/DCM
- Familiarity with brand lift study partners (e.g. Disqo, Upwave), and brand safety partners (DoubleVerify, IAS)
- Familiar with industry planning tools such as Comscore, Kantar or Adviews, AdRelevance or Pathmatics, and MRI/Simmons/Scarborough data
- Self starter, ability to work with a high level of independence and attention to detail
- Natural collaborator with great negotiation and communication skills
- High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and Google Workspace
- Experience with Google Analytics/Omniture and Basis, a plus
