Yext is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its growing and dynamic accounting team.This is a hands-on position with a mix of accounting and operational duties. This role will be responsible for assisting in the day to day transaction processing and accounting, preparing account reconciliations in connection with the close process, and performing financial analysis on an as-needed basis. This role reports directly to the Manager, GL Accounting based in India.

Responsibilities

Participate in various accounting functions including preparing reconciliations and roll forwards, account analysis and processing month end journal entries for a variety of G/L accounts such as Benefits & Insurance Allocations, Payroll & 401K accrual, Cash, Accrued Publisher & Affiliate Fees, Prepaids, Leases

Assist in reconciliations between subledger and general ledger

Support and assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes

Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to GAAP principles

Work with independent auditors to provide support for audited financial statements

Manage, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of data in Excel from various internal systems and the general ledger

Assist in external financial reporting processes

Support leadership in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned

Assist with the implementation and testing of both new and existing finance systems, including UAT documentation.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified CA/ CPA or equivalent degree in Accounting (preferably with Big 4 background or Big 4/private mix)

4+ years experience in accounting

Strong knowledge and application of U.S. GAAP, and internal controls

Ability and willingness to work shift hours to support the U.S. team during critical close periods, often aligning with U.S. working hours.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office tools including MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data

Detail-oriented, process-driven, and strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Collaborative style with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely on technical and operational issues

Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines

Excellent written and formal presentation skills

Prior experience working in an international business environment

Familiarity with NetSuite, Coupa, FloQast, and Tableau or equivalent systems is required
