We are building a new technology company focused on industrial IoT products, bringing together a dedicated engineering team to develop solutions combining electronics, embedded software, connectivity, data processing, and cloud-based device management. We are looking for an Embedded Linux and Hardware Integration Engineer to take ownership of the hardware integration and embedded Linux layer of our industrial IoT devices. You will work across electronics, hardware firmware, and Linux, making technical decisions on hardware integration, bringing up new hardware, integrating drivers and low-level software, and diagnosing system-level issues. A key part of the role is understanding whether an issue originates from the physical hardware, hardware firmware, or Linux/software layer, and being able to analyze the relevant source code and system behavior to identify and resolve the root cause.

What you’ll do

Own the hardware integration and embedded Linux layer Bring up new hardware and integrate it into the Linux environment Integrate and maintain drivers, firmware, and low-level software Analyze hardware, firmware, and Linux source code to diagnose system-level issues Identify whether issues originate from electronics, hardware firmware, or Linux/software Configure, build, and maintain embedded Linux platforms Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, kernel, drivers, and applications Contribute to the architecture and technical direction of the embedded platform

What we’re looking for

Hands-on experience with embedded Linux C/C++ and bash programming skills Good understanding of electronics and hardware interfaces Experience analyzing and debugging hardware, firmware, and software together Understanding of Linux internals, kernel, and device drivers Experience configuring and building embedded Linux systems Ability to identify the root cause of cross-layer hardware/software issues Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Salary

4000-6500 €/mon. gross
