Cybersecurity Operations Engineer - (up to $8,000 base + AWS + PB)

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to support the day-to-day protection of enterprise IT environments. The role covers security monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability management, access controls and infrastructure security within a managed services environment. Responsibilities Monitor security events and investigate unusual activities across enterprise systems, endpoints, networks and cloud environments. Support the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including escalation, containment, recovery and follow-up actions. Perform vulnerability reviews and work with technical teams to prioritise and address identified security weaknesses. Administer identity, access and privileged-access controls in accordance with least-privilege principles. Support endpoint, network and infrastructure security controls including security monitoring, endpoint protection, firewalls and secure remote access. Maintain system security standards, hardening controls and other operational security configurations across the environment. Support security reviews, audits, compliance activities and the preparation of relevant operational documentation. Participate in an after-hours support rotation for critical security incidents and work closely with infrastructure and operations teams during escalations. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline. At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, security operations, infrastructure support or system administration. Practical exposure to areas such as security monitoring, vulnerability management, access controls, endpoint security or infrastructure security. ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent, with good troubleshooting, communication and teamwork skills. Additional Information Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding Public Holidays. The role includes participation in an after-hours support rotation for critical incidents.
