About the Role

We operate one of Japan's largest influencer marketing platforms, connecting approximately 90,000 influencers and supporting more than 1 million marketing campaigns to date.

As our business enters its next phase of growth—with the launch of our new AI-powered product Vooster and expansion into global markets such as Indonesia—we're rethinking the infrastructure that powers everything we build.

Today, our engineering organization consists of around 30 engineers, and we've relied on talented external partners for many of our most complex infrastructure decisions. As we scale to support multiple products and international growth, we're bringing this expertise in-house.

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer / SRE who wants the rare opportunity to design and build the next-generation platform from the ground up. Rather than maintaining an established infrastructure, you'll help define the technical foundation that supports the company's future.

What You'll Do

As a core member of our engineering team, you'll lead the design, implementation, and evolution of our cloud infrastructure.

Working closely with software engineers, you'll build highly scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient infrastructure while enabling faster product development through modern DevOps practices and automation.

This role offers significant ownership: you'll have the freedom to make architectural decisions that directly support both product development and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure from the ground up using AWS, GCP, and other cloud platforms

Architect infrastructure that supports global expansion and a growing portfolio of products

Eliminate technical debt while improving scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency

Lead DevOps initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline design and infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)

Partner with development teams to improve service reliability, availability, and system performance

Define and operate SLI/SLO metrics to ensure a high-quality user experience

Continuously improve operational efficiency through automation and modern infrastructure practices

Backend: Node.js, Ruby, Go

Required Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or similar cloud platforms

Experience managing containerized environments with Docker and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS

Experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

Business-level Japanese proficiency is required

Nice to Haves

Experience tuning database performance (MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.)

Experience operating monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic

Experience defining and operating SLI/SLOs as an SRE

Experience promoting DevOps culture and engineering best practices

Experience with infrastructure cost optimization, security reviews, and compliance initiatives

Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership within an engineering organization

Native-level Japanese proficiency or JLPT N1 certification is preferred.
