At MOVEBYBiKE we are specialists in cycle and low emissions logistics. With our fleet of cargo trikes, bikes, quads and other vehicles - we transport everything - an envelope, catering, food to schools, resupply of shops, package delivery and even moving whole apartments. We are a growing company in a growing industry, and we need your talents. As our mechanic, a chunk of your time will be spent taking care of the MBB fleet. Our bikes and trikes and quadricycles, take quite a beating out there on the mean streets. The winter gravel, summer rain, cobblestones and potholes ensure that the fleet requires regular maintenance. Not to mention the occasional puncture that may or may not require your assistance in the field.

Beyond maintenance, the bikes require innovation as well. Improved rider comfort like storage space or rain protection. Better ways to store tools like pumps and jacks on the vehicles - imagine that: a jack is an important tool to have along for the ride. Safety elements like side position lights, turn indicators, GPS tracking and more.

There is plenty of room to grow with tasks like - facility management, occasional carpentry, IT stuff and maybe even designing a cargo bike of your own.

Additionally you will have the opportunity to travel around Europe to visit various cycle logistics conferences, cargo bike festivals and other events that are relevant to our business. In some cases you may even be called upon to take a road trip down south to pick up some bikes or visit our suppliers.

An idea of your duties:

Maintaining vehicles (bikes, trikes, quadrikes)
Field support and repairs
Improving vehicle functionality - big and small
Facility maintenance and management
Purchasing parts, tools and more
Reinforcing our field team as a rider
Vehicle maintenance in other MOVEBYBiKE towns
Going to cycle logistics conferences and cargo bike events

Optional IT stuff:

Management of basic IT systems - phones, radios
Management of advanced IT systems - computers, printers, networking
To do the job, you will have access to our beautiful office and garage at Zinkensdamm, with a wide array of tools and equipment.
