Health Care Assistant

Status: Full Time Contract

Location: County Wexford

We are recruiting Health Care Workers to help support a person with an intellectual disability and/or Autism to enjoy an ordinary life while being supported and empowered so that they can live their life to the fullest while in a residential setting.

Duties

  • Support the Team to ensure that the service you provide complies with the applicable HIQA regulations.
  • Sufficient professional knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
  • Ensure compliance with record keeping is in line with legislation and HIQA requirements.
  • Work directly with individuals and completing administrative tasks relating to the day-to-day running of the house.
  • Be highly organised, have excellent report writing and IT and time management skills.
  • Flexibility and openness to change

Our ideal candidate

  • FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare
  • Three year's experience supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Applicants must have relevant experience
  • Experience in a HIQA regulation environment and supporting children/adults with intellectual disabilities
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA Standards.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence Class B desirable.

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence Class B desirable, FETAC/QQI level 5 Major Award in Healthcare (required)
