Our client is a Singapore-based deep tech company building next-generation humanoid robotics platforms and the software that powers them. Known for building in public and shipping to real hardware, the company has a growing community of developers and enthusiasts who want to represent the brand. They are hiring their first E-Commerce Lead to launch and own their online store from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Launch and own the company's e-commerce store from scratch, including platform selection, storefront build, checkout, payments, and tax setup across Singapore, Vietnam, the US, and international markets
- Develop the first product line with the brand and design team, spanning apparel, accessories, and limited-edition drops
- Own merchandising strategy and the launch calendar, including pricing, product mix, seasonal drops, and tie-ins with company milestones
- Set up and manage fulfillment operations, including print-on-demand and 3PL partners, inventory, packaging, and global shipping
- Own the store's P&L, including margins, unit economics, and forecasting
- Drive growth and conversion through analytics, email/lifecycle marketing, landing pages, and merchandising experiments
- Manage the end-to-end customer experience, including support, returns, and the post-purchase journey
- Partner with cross-functional teams to plan expansion into adjacent product categories (kits, spare parts, components) over time
Core Key Skills
- Proven experience launching or running a direct-to-consumer e-commerce store, ideally on Shopify, from setup through steady-state operations
- Strong generalist skill set spanning merchandising, operations, and growth
- Comfortable working zero-to-one, making independent calls and iterating quickly
- Solid understanding of fulfillment and logistics, including 3PL, print-on-demand, inventory, and cross-border shipping
- Data-driven approach to pricing, margin, and conversion decisions
- Strong brand and product instincts, with an eye for what a technical, design-conscious audience wants

- Existing relationships with print-on-demand and 3PL vendors
- Experience selling physical or hardware products, including spare parts or kit-style catalogs
- Merch or community commerce experience for a developer, gaming, or open-source brand
- Genuine interest in robotics, open source, and building in public
