Application Project Manager

Applications Project Manager Responsibilities ·       Lead end to end delivery of assigned banking projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and governance standards. ·       Serve as the primary point of contact between consulting firm, client stakeholders, and 3rd party vendors to ensure smooth execution. ·       Develop and maintain project plans, scope schedules, and resource allocation in coordination with client teams. ·       Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective action to ensure successful delivery. ·       Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, and provide progress updates to internal and client management. ·       Oversee solution design, testing, and deployment phrases, ensuring qualify and alignment with objectives. ·       Support change management and stakeholder communication initiatives. ·       Ensure adherence to client methodologies, documentation standards and regulatory requirements. ·       Mentor and guide project team members, including consultants and client staff to foster collaboration and productivity.

Requirements ·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science information technology, Software Engineering or related discipline. ·       At least 5 years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) role in banking industry. ·       Proven track record in end-to-end application upgrade projects. ·       Experience in managing enterprise software applications, application modernization system implementation, or application upgrade initiatives. ·       Proven experience leading end-to-end software application lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support. ·       Strong understanding of software application delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile practices. ·       Experience managing application upgrade, migration, modernization or cloud/SaaS practices. ·       Experience overseeing software vendors, development teams, system integrators, and technical delivery partners. ·       Ability to evaluate technical solutions and provide governance over application quality, security performance, scalability, and operational readiness. ·       Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese speaking business stakeholders and regional teams.
