Location: Keighley Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance Operations & Systems Manager to join a growing manufacturing business based in the Keighley area.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to become a key member of the finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll take ownership of core transactional finance operations while driving process improvements, automation and AI initiatives across the finance function.
The business has a strong finance team in place but is looking for someone who can challenge the status quo, introduce new ideas and help modernise the way finance supports the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations including sales invoicing, credit control, bank reconciliations, payments, commissions and banking activities
- Manage and develop existing finance team members
- Act as a senior point of escalation for transactional finance matters
- Drive process improvement and identify opportunities to automate manual activities
- Lead finance transformation initiatives, including the introduction of AI and digital tools
- Review existing controls and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Support the Finance Director with projects and wider business initiatives
- Work closely with operational stakeholders across the business
- Assist with the continued development and optimisation of SAP processes
The Candidate
The successful candidate is likely to be:
- Qualified by experience, part-qualified or formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experienced managing transactional and operational finance functions
- Naturally curious with a track record of improving processes and implementing change
- Comfortable challenging existing ways of working and bringing fresh ideas
- Systems-minded with strong Excel and finance systems experience
- SAP experience would be highly advantageous
- A hands-on leader who enjoys developing people and creating efficiencies
- Based within a commutable distance of their office
Salary & Benefits
- £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
